Severn Sound Studio ("we," "us") operates severnsoundstudio.com and a recording studio at 2162 Renard Ct, Annapolis, MD 21401. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact and project details you send us: when you submit our contact form, we receive the information you enter (such as name, email, phone number, and project description).
- Booking information: when you book a session, scheduling is handled by Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace company). Acuity collects your name, contact details, appointment selections, intake answers, and payment card information. We do not see or store your full card number; cards are held and processed by Acuity and its payment processor under their own privacy policies.
- Communications: if you call, email, or text us, we receive the contact information and content you choose to share. If you text us first, we may reply by text; reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us.
- Technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and site operation. If you arrive from an online ad, the link may include campaign identifiers.
- Advertising measurement (only with your consent): if you accept cookies in our consent banner, we use Google's measurement tags (Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) to understand which ads bring visitors here and whether they contact us. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and plan, confirm, and provide studio services.
- To review bookings and contact you about scheduling, timing, or changes.

Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate: currently Acuity Scheduling (booking and payments), Resend (email delivery for our contact form), Vercel (website hosting), and, if you consent to advertising cookies, Google (ad measurement), and where required by law. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Text messaging
Texting with us is optional. If you initiate a text conversation, standard message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out of further messages at any time by replying STOP. We do not send marketing text blasts, and we do not share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing.
Retention and security
We keep project and booking communications for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time using the Cookie preferenceslink in the footer. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Minors record at the studio only with a parent or guardian involved.
